Teri Vogan is a native of Colorado Springs. During her early years, she learned the jewelry trade from her father and mentor, Edward Megel. Ed Megel owned and operated Megel's Jewelry for decades, and was a highly respected jeweler and member of the Colorado Springs community. In 1974, Teri earned her credentials in jewelry repair, diamond and colored stone setting from the Gemological Institute of America. Currently, she is working on obtaining her credentials as a gemologist from the GIA. With 40 years experience, Teri is a master jeweler who works in gold, silver, and platinum and specializes in the restoration of family jewelry.
Rege Vogan is originally from Pennsylvania, and has lived in Colorado Springs since 1984. After a 25 year background in the field of police work, he has found exciting new challenges in the jewelry industry. Rege completed training in jewelry repair from the Gemological Institute of America and has also completed and mastered the Quartz Watch Technician Training to provide top quality service repair on quartz watch movements. In addition, Rege handles all the engraving and awards recognition requests for retail customers, schools and universities, and corporate clients.
For ten years, Vogan Gold & SilverWorks, Inc. was chosen by the United States Figure Skating Association to hand fabricate the National and World Figure Skating Championship Radix award pins. The Radix pin is a miniature replica of a skate blade, and is made of karat gold and diamonds for the top champions, and karat gold and sterling for the other place holders. Past winners of the Radix pins have included Sarah Hughes, Michelle Kwan, Peggy Fleming, and Scott Hamilton just to name a few. The Vogans were proud to be selected to create the U. S. Figure Skating Radix pins for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
